A Fashionable Bag for Me!

It seems that I will never truly know fashion at all. Every time I sent my girlfriend a gift "in fashion" in order to give her a surprise, I could tell from her face that she didn't really like it even though she was trying to appreciate the gift. What could I do? I think fashion and I are from two different worlds. To make matters worse, my girlfriend is very into fashion and a big follower of the fashion, so every time I gave her something as a gift I would concern whether it was fashionable or not - of course, my estimation had never been correct.
Days went by so quickly and her birthday was coming again. This was really a big problem facing me, for I had to choose a gift for her again! When I was wondering around the mall by myself and not knowing what to buy for her, suddenly a big post in front of a boutique caught my eyes, "Fashion Bags on SALE!" I felt so relieved when I had read this, feeling that I could buy whatever a bag for her in this boutique for her cause it said fashion bags for sale. So I went into the boutique and saw many duffel bags on the shelves. Then a shop assistant came to me and asked what I wanted to buy, I said, "Is these duffel bags in fashion this year?" "Yes, of course they are. They are the latest fashion in Milan and Paris. And duffel is the most popular material used by designers this year." Hearing what the shop assistant said to me, I decided to buy a duffel bag for my girlfriend, and this time she must be satisfied. Even though the price of the bag was shocking, I still bought it without hesitation.
Finally her birthday came. After we had a happy and sumptuous dinner at a French restaurant, I thought it was time to give her the bag. But when I gave her the bag, the most wired expression came into my girlfriend's face - the expression registering the mixture of smile and disappointment and speechlessness. "What happened, honey? Are you not content with this bag? Is this not fashionable enough?" I asked eagerly.
"No, no, no, it is very fashion and is the latest design in Milan." I felt relieved after hearing what she said, but she continued, "But it is designed for men, not for women."
This time, I became the one who was speechless.
