How to Choose Jewelry to Match Your Clothes

Many people wear their favorite clothes and favorite jewels together. Sometimes, they will neglect whether they can match with each other well or not. Once I made a mistake. I was invited to a friend's birthday party. I wore common clothes, Tiffany silver necklace and some other jewels at the party. Nobody wanted to talk with me. They thought that I was trying to show myself off. Now I realize that the purpose of wearing jewels is to make our clothes more beautiful and I have also got to know how important it is to understand the principle of coordinating jewelry with clothes. The major part is clothes not jewels. But jewelry does play a quite important role.
When it comes to how to make the clothes and jewelry we wear a perfect match, two main factors should be taken into consideration. First is the style. Different clothes should match with different styles of jewelry. When wearing full dress, you are normally expected to be graceful and elegant. In that case, implicit but delicate necklaces, rings and earrings are always good choices. But if you wear them when wearing jeans and T-shirts, then they would appear to be inappropriate and extraordinarily ordinary, even they are those luxurious masterpieces from Tiffany. Besides, the style of the jewelry you wear should also be coherent with the patterns decorated on your clothes. Curve patterns should match with straight lines so that they could complement each other.
The second factor is color. We must choose the color of the jewelry according to the color of the clothes we wear. When your shirts or skirts are of only one or two similar colors, then rubies, emeralds and sapphires should be in your consideration to avoid a monotone appearance. But when your clothes are colorful enough, you must not wear them. Instead, you could turn to diamonds rings and platinum accessories.
Generally speaking, jewels made of gold, silver, pure pearls, as well as transparent diamonds, can match all kinds of colors. But jades, rubies, halcyons are not versatile. So we should be careful when we choose jewels made of these materials. For example, when we dress dark green dress, we can use halcyons brooch to match it. The dark green dress is too dull. So the brooch can make it more lively.
Both the clothes and jewelry are meant to help add your beauty. They have the same goal. Just like two members in the same sport team. If they cooperate, they will win; otherwise, they lose.
