It is generally known by most myopia sufferers that the deterioration of eyesight befalls them stealthily. When they find they are not able to see the object beyond clearly or even discover that what in front of them is just blurring, it is actually too late to cure myopia. In the long time before the degeneration of eyesight, there are lots of warning signs eyes.
Several students of higher grade in the primary schools and middle schools usually have such experience: when they are reading books for a long time, the words on books would become vague. At this moment, if they look up to watch the objects in front, they tend to feel the objects fluctuating or unstable. When some people suddenly withdraw their eyes from faraway sight to nearby objects, or move their eyes to the beyond objects after observing the nearby objects for a long time, there would be inclined to appear a temporary blur in front of eyes. Actually, these phenomena are all caused by the malfunction in the regulation of the ciliary muscle, which likes protesting or even laying off as soon as your eyes get exhausted and could not get some rest. In addition, some teenagers are repeatedly confused by the sty, which is also a warning sign of myopia in spite of their 20/20 eyesight.
Other than the exhaustion in eyes, a lot of people who are being warned by the myopia also suffer from the ache like burning heat sensation, itch, dryness, and bulge in eyes. What's worse, the ache would even spread to the outside of the eye socket, which would lead to the brow ague and aches in neck, shoulder, back.
The students who used to be good at study tend to hate class, or could not concentrate themselves into what teachers talk about. For some other students, they would become less patient and receptive, lacking in interest in what they used to love, and get exhausted easily. In addition, more dreams and sweat in sleeping, giddy feeling and lack of appetite are the warning signals of myopia too.
The ophthalmologists often call all the above mentioned symptoms as "myopia-like syndrome". From what has been mentioned above, the symptoms appearing before the myopia have nothing to do with the degeneration of eyesight. In fact, it is a matter of nervous system. The myopia problem is not merely a disease relating to eyes but due to the physiological changes in the whole body. According to the statistics from the ophthalmologists, 40% of the warning signals of the myopia first make their appearance in trigeminal system and autonomic nervous system.
By the way, if you didn't take care of your eyes and have got myopia, you still need to take some effective measures to protect your eyes. For instance, a pair of prescription glasses is much better than common glasses. Glasses in professional shop are much more accurate than ones in informal shops
All in all, myopia does not befall anybody stealthily. It has lots of warning signals. Only if you take notice to these warning signals in advance, you could prevent yourself from getting myopia. And if you got myopia irreparably, just get yourself a pair of high-quality prescription eyeglasses to protect your eyes from getting worse.
